World Cup Soccer

ODTUG Kaleidoscope 2010 will be right smack in the middle of the World Cup Soccer Tournament. We will be streaming the games on giant screens in the Exhibit Hall, and the Hotel will have the games in the lobby and other outlet TVs. So wear your favorite team's jersey all week and watch the games live, and just a little bit later than live (since we know you will be attending sessions), if you want to actually attend the sessions.

Werewolf: The Game of Mob Rule

At Kaleidoscope 2009, several participants played impromptu games of Werewolf: The Game of Mob Rule. The game became a hit and a surprise networking vehicle; so much so that we decided to publicize the game and include as many participants that are interested. The games will begin at 10:00 p.m. in Maryland C, but may be moved to Washington 4 depending on the size of the group. Sunday will be for beginners or for those who need a refresher course.

Werewolf: The Game of Mob Rule is an easy game to learn and is fun to both watch and play.  Basically it takes place in a village infested by two or more werewolves (depending on the total number of players). Each player is secretly assigned a role, which in the basic game could be werewolf, villager, or seer. At night, the werewolves kill a villager. During the day, the remaining villagers choose someone they suspect to be a werewolf and lynch that player.  Werewolves win when there are an equal number of villagers and werewolves; villagers win when they have killed all of the werewolves.

Stop by for thirty minutes or stay all night as we use our mad psychological reading skills to find the werewolves while they try to bluff their way into surviving.
