The ODTUG Kaleidoscope 2010 Special Event is just that – SPECIAL
The headliner entertainment for the evening is season two winner of NBC’s hit reality series, Last Comic Standing, comedian, John Heffron. Brought to you in part by interRel, he has become the comic to watch and love. John Heffron burst onto the comedic scene during the prime of his college heyday. Although he graduated in his home state of Michigan, John’s priorities became clear when he began to skip night class to perform live stand up. His first gig was on the University of Michigan’s campus at the Main Street Comedy Showcase. Since then, his comedy has evolved in a unique and creative fashion as he has grown from a fun-loving college student to a bewildered newlywed.
John’s half hour Comedy Central special, Comedy Central Presents: John Heffron, is played frequently on the network. John also recently released his third comedy CD,The Better Half, which is available on iTunes and Amazon. |
John also recently served as a celebrity roaster on the dais for one of his childhood idols - Gene Simmons of KISS. The roast episodes will be seen on Gene Simmons Family Jewels on A&E on June 10 at 10/9 p.m. ET/PT. John can also be seen and heard online hosting his own hour-long radio show John Heffron’s Class Clown on www.Nowlive.com.
John has made numerous television appearances including NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Late Show, his own half-hour Comedy Central Presents special, and many others. In addition, he has also performed at the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal as well as the HBO Comedy Festival in Aspen. ODTUG is excited that John can now add ODTUG Kaleidoscope 2010 to his list of appearances.
John’s material has matured and grown with him – moving on from college and videogames to jokes about adjusting to being married and weekly visits to Home Depot. Audiences happily join him on the ride. With his recent television success and high profile projects in the works, John is well on his way to being, “that guy who has his own show.”
